Why Empower Ministry Was Founded

Updated: Mar 4

For forty years, my father, Rick Isaacson, built SERVPRO into the leading cleaning, restoration, and construction franchise organization in the United States. What fueled that growth was not just vision—it was systems, leadership development, and a headquarters team committed to equipping entrepreneurs with the tools they needed to succeed.

When Rick retired, he believed God was redirecting those decades of business experience toward a greater purpose: to help every Christian leader succeed. This will be done by equipping visionary lead pastors to build strong teams to operationalize their vision with excellence. And get this: dad wanted to do this completely free of charge, forever, through a resource center... so the Isaacson Foundation, doing business as Empower Ministry, was born.

The Gap

Lead pastors carry immense responsibility—preaching 52 weeks per year, shepherding their congregations, casting vision, and leading staff. Many are deeply educated in theology and spiritual leadership but have never been trained to implement systems, manage complex teams, or develop sustainable infrastructure.

Resources to help in these areas exist, but they are scattered, difficult to access, and rarely centralized in one place. How can pastors find the time to sort through them all?

The Leverage Point

In business, leadership is the leverage point for growth. The same is true for ministry.

A healthy leadership team builds a healthy church. When lead pastors are supported by strong operational teams, vision becomes executable and growth becomes sustainable.

Empower Ministry exists to strengthen that leverage point by equipping ministry leaders with collaboration opportunities, practical tools, proven systems, and operational resources—all to be provided free of charge, forever, through a resource center.

Eternal Return on Investment

In most businesses and organizations, success is measured by financial ROI.

At Empower Ministry, we focus on EROI—Eternal Return on Investment.

The goal is not profit. It is people. It is souls being saved.

Even where Empower Ministry is headquartered—Sumner County, Tennessee—in the heart of the Bible belt, roughly 70% of residents do not attend church regularly. The harvest is right in front of us, in front of each local church… all 440,000 of them. The opportunity to save souls is enormous.

We believe when churches operate at their highest potential, more lives are transformed.

Empower Ministry was created to help make that possible. We’re on a mission to build a quality team of people to equip Christian leaders to live out their God-given potential to advance the Kingdom. If you want to help us on our mission, learn about our careers.
